Door Thirteen Photography

I had the great opportunity to shoot an awesome fight, six fights ranging from amateur to pro boxers.  Although i do have to say the main event was a great fight, but if you were their you must know that the Octavio vs. mighty mike fight was the nights best fight. Here are a couple of shots from that fight.

A night of knock outs, upper-cuts, flying fists and kicks to the head was what took place last week at Hollywood park and casino as fighters took to the ring in a challenge. Some veterans, others it was their first fight as they stepped in the ring. With every pounding fist and every flying knee a challenger came closer and closer to their victory. Congratulations to the winners and those who were brave enough to step in and fight.

Round two of the Song Writers Showcase, On May 23 a group of song writers showed off their musical talents for any and all to hear.  I had the privilege to listen to this small group of performers as well as photograph them as they performed. Hopefully next time around you can come and enjoy a night of awesome  music and coffee.

Mucho much thanks to all Fawmers, Home brew and all their coffee, now I cant sleep so I will get started on this by saying, wow what a great event Fawm.org put on. I had a blast shooting it and listening to everyones take on life put into song. Thats how I saw it! When the week is long with rain and cold wind you assume that the weekend will be the same. On saturday March the 7th Melanie and Guillermo Reyes were married, and the day could not have been more perfect. The day was filled with blue skys, no clouds and some of the nicest cars i’ve seen in a while, the couple along with the party were escorted in pre 1960 “bomb cars”, which made for nice pictures.  I thank melanie and cito for allowing me to capture thier blessed day and wish many years on their young loving marriage, I hope you like the photographs-Thanks click on Flickr under the links tab to see more of these photos along with more of my photography.

It all started with a web page my brother had showed me, from their on we made a night of it and bent the rules of time and light. It’s called painting with light,  certain settings on my digital camera that allow me to capture shots that require little to no photoshop work or retouch. We went to live oak walking trails for a night of long exposure shots to perfect this cool form of art, take a look at our pictures and let us know what you think.

It’s true babies are a blessing and as part of this blessing comes the warm welcoming from family and friends. Alejandra Morales, my sister in law came home to a surprise baby shower of about 30 people, big smiles and lots of hugs were given to her as she entered the door. I had a great time seeing a smile on her face and capturing every single one, after all she is bringing in a new little baby girl into the family.  May God bless her baby girl and her family.

I had the great opportunity to be a part of and shoot media coverage of The Gadfly Project. The return of Pastor Eddie Romero, a one man protester in Beijing China. This was an honor to shoot not only because I had the chance to expand my work but also because Pastor Eddie has been my pastor for about 8-9 yrs, so these nights hit home for me, the were very overwhelming. One of the greatest thing I shot was our church family coming together in support of our pastor.
